First off, welcome to the Soccer Capital of America (sorry, I couldn’t resist). We’ve been playing the game for over 100 years and proudly defend our place in American soccer’s story. This is a city that knew the sport mattered long before the MLS came along and that soccer matters at all levels. After years of frustration, we finally have a top-division team to call our own—and we’re excited to show off our city, our stadium, and our club.
First, the Weather
Here in St. Louis, we're "lucky" enough to get the sweltering heat and humidity of the South and the bone-chilling cold and wind of the North. It's the worst of both worlds!
- Summer: Be ready to sweat. A lot. If you’re sensitive to the sun, aim for seats in the southern and western stands of Energizer Park. But be warned: the away supporters’ section (Section 200) is on the eastern second level and faces directly west, right into the sun. Free hydration at Energizer Park is... not optimal. Expect tiny paper triangle cups (think doctor’s office) that hold about 1 oz of water. Outside water bottles aren’t permitted—unless you buy the refillable CITY YETI mug ($80 a season). Visitors? Buy a soda cup inside and enjoy free soda and water refills all match.
- Early/Late Season: February and March or late-season matches can be bitterly cold. The pitch sits below street level, creating a wind tunnel effect. There’s little shelter from the wind, and rain is common in spring. While the roof covers most seats, anything closer than Row 10 in the lower bowl is exposed.
Energizer Park
Where is it?
Located in the Downtown West area of St. Louis, the stadium - formerly known as CITYPARK - is easily accessible. If you’re in town for a match:
- Transportation: Take an Uber or hop on the MetroLink (light rail). The closest station is Union Station, right across from Energizer Park’s southeast entrance.
- Parking: Options include:
- CITY garage across from the east side of the stadium ($40 matchday rate)
- Surrounding surface lots ($15–$30)
- Street parking (free Sundays & after 7pm on weekdays; pay the virtual meters before then) - use the ParkMobile app to reserve and/or pay. There is also a decent amount of free street parking a few blocks north of the stadium.
Are visiting fans welcome in and around the stadium?
Absolutely - we’re Midwesterners! Friendly by nature, we love seeing away fans react to what we’ve built. Be cool and you’ll be met with open arms, especially among supporter’s groups. Say hi, strike up a conversation - you might make some new friends.
In town early? You can also check out one of the best soccer bars in the country, Amsterdam Tavern, located in the Tower Grove South neighborhood (about a 10 minute drive from Energizer Park). All of the greatest hits of St. Louis are worth checking out as well: the Gateway Arch, Anheuser-Busch Brewery, Busch Stadium and Ballpark Village, Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis, City Museum, the Saint Louis Zoo, etc. You can find all those and much more at Explore St. Louis.
Pre-Match Experience
Pillars of the Valley
On your way around the stadium, make a stop at the southwest corner of the stadium to check out the Pillars of the Valley, an art installation honoring Mill Creek Valley, a historically black neighborhood that once stood where Energizer Park is now located.
CITY Block Party
Hosted at Lou Fusz Plaza (east side of the stadium), this family-friendly bash includes live music, kids’ games, and Purina’s frisbee dogs.
Supporters Groups Street Parties

- St. Louligan Block Party @ Schlafly Tap Room: On Louligan Street, across from Energizer Park’s north side. The Louligans - St. Louis’s oldest and largest supporter’s group - host pre-match parties with food trucks, merch tents, beer, and fundraising for local charities. Visiting fans are always welcome.
- Fiesta Fútbol @ The Marquee Restaurant & Lounge: Just a block east of Schlafly. Hosted by STL Santos, CITY's Hispanic supporters’ group. Expect Latin food, music, merch, and the start of the Supporters’ March to the Match, which winds through the street parties and around the stadium with drums, flags, smoke, and noise galore.
Bars and Restaurants
Thanks to its central location, Energizer Park is surrounded by several bars and restaurants:
- Across the street: The Pitch (SE), Maggie O’Brien’s (S), Syberg’s (SW)
- A short walk: Beffa’s (3 blocks west), Blue Jay Brewing (1 block north of Beffa’s), Farm Spirit STL (inside Blue Jay), Kain Tayo (next to Blue Jay)
- Inside the Stadium: The Hellcat Bar (named after the fighter plane Jack Taylor - Enterprise founder and grandfather of CITY owner Carolyn Kindle - flew in WWII), located in the Northeast corner of Energizer Park, opens 90 minutes before match time and features food and drink specials.
Inside Energizer Park
Accessibility & Inclusivity
CITY leads the league in accessibility efforts. Sensory rooms, nursing facilities, hidden disability alerts—Energizer Park aims to accommodate everyone. ADA drop-offs are available at the northeast gate and Moneta Club entrance (west side). All gates are accessible. Find out more on the Energizer Park Accessibility & Inclusivity page. You can also find out more on this and other topics by downloading the excellent Official STL CITY SC App.
Energizer Park is also a KultureCity Certified Sensory Inclusive Venue, meaning that the stadium caters to everyone with sensory needs, including those with autism, PTSD, Parkinson's, and more. Find out more about Energizer Park and how to take advantage of what the stadium has to offer for those with sensory needs by checking out the KultureCity Energizer Park Information Page.
Getting In
Entrances at all four corners make access convenient, and everything is easy to find:
- Main Entrance: Southeast corner
- Premium + Valet: West side
- Merch: CITY Pavilion (across the street on south side) or the in-stadium store, bottom level south side.
Food and Drink
Energizer Park has, hands down, the best food in MLS - curated by James Beard Award winner Gerard Craft. Expect:
- BBQ, brisket mac & cheese, smash burgers, pizza, hand pies, Balkan specialties, Latin, Asian, toasted ravioli (of course), elevated hot dogs, and more, all from St. Louis area restaurants.
- It’s not cheap, but the food options are extremely varied and of high quality - especially compared to traditional stadium fare.
- Use CITY’s interactive map to find gluten-free, vegetarian, and kid-friendly choices.
Drink-wise, expect Anheuser-Busch products, local craft beers (check out Wally’s on the south end and their grab & go locations), mixed drinks, and self-service soda fountains. New for 2026 are expanded non-alcoholic drink options, including NA beer and mocktails.
During the Match

On the bottom level of The North End is the Supporter's Section, the dedicated section for CITY supporters to play music, wave flags, and hang the occasional tifo. Please note - the seats in this section are locked upright and cannot be used - everyone in this section must stand - and wearing clothing that aren't CITY colors is not permitted.
Speaking of standing, a large portion of fans in the lower level all around the stadium stand during matches. While this has lessened slightly from the first season or two (coinciding with CITY not exactly being very good at soccer), standing is still permitted by stadium staff and is very common. Factor that in if looking at ticket location. You can ask to be relocated, but your mileage may vary. The higher-priced areas on the western lower level and the majority of the second level don't typically stand.
One of the best things about Energizer Park is the proximity of the seats to the pitch - no seat is further than 120 feet away. There truly is no bad seat in the place, even if a lot of us don't actually sit in them.
After the Match
The Ultra Club inside the stadium (2nd level south) stays open for an hour after most matches for all ticketholders, and it's not a terrible idea to hang out and let traffic clear a bit after the game is over if you drove to the match. If CITY wins, the North End will serenade them with "St. Lou" (to the tune of "Hey Jude") after the player walkaround on the pitch. Schlafly and Maggie O'Brien's are two popular spots as well to grab a post-match beverage of the adult variety.
As an away fan, we hope you enjoy your visit to St. Louis and Energizer Park - win, lose, or draw. If you have questions, feel free to reach out to us on social media!
