Bears Come From Behind to Top Emory 2-1 in DIII Final

Washington University captured its second straight NCAA Division III women’s championship on Saturday in Salem, Virginia, defeating Emory 2-1 to secure the third national title in program history.

After conceding in the 22nd minute, the Bears rallied late in the second half. Monica Morales-Martinez equalized in the 68th minute, and just two minutes later, Cami Colpitts delivered the decisive goal.

The victory marked head coach Jim Conlon’s 500th career win and capped a perfect season for WashU, finishing with 21 wins, 3 draws, and no losses.
