A Connor Niles penalty kick with 2 minutes remaining in the first half was the only goal of the match, as SLUH topped previously unbeaten Rockhurst in the 4A State Championship at Soccer Park in Fenton.
The PK, given for unnecessary contact by Rockhurst goalkeeper Luke Strueby, was argued by the Hawklets, but the decision stood. Niles then converted from the spot and the goal stood up as the Jr. Bills claimed their second straight state championship.
Here is the penalty call that led to a PK and the 1-0 lead for SLUH at the half.
