CITY's overhaul continues, as today they added Brazilian left back Rafael Santos. Santos, 27, played in Orlando for 3 seasons, recording 10 points (2g/8a) in 75 starts. In Colorado last season he added a goal and an assist in 7 matches. Santos is signed through June 30, 2027 with options for 2028 and 2029.
Santos brings legitimate MLS experience at left back to CITY. While not known for his defending, he does have a calling card - a cannon of a left foot. He also understands proper offensive spacing, as evidenced by him slowing his run here to create space for himself:
