9/9/26 CITY Away Game vs Portland Timbers: Player Profile with CITY Midfielder, Alexandru Mățan

During the Y98 pregame show, Jen Siess shared thoughts from St. Louis CITY SC August arrival, Alexandru Mățan. The new CITY midfielder talked about the team taking pride in their 14-match unbeaten run across all competitions, but how they are also ever aware that it could come to a close anytime should they let up their current run of form. Mățan mentioned that his adjustment to the CITY team on and off the pitch has been the easiest so far in his career. He also talked about how he’s not necessarily a “stats guy” himself - that he’s happy to help the team to get a win no matter if those contributions are measured in official match stats or are simply things he values in his own play to progress the ball forward.
