8/19/26 CITY Away Game vs Sporting KC: Player Profile with CITY Midfielder, Chris Durkin

During the Y98 pregame show, Jen Siess visited with Chris Durkin, one of St. Louis CITY SC’s center midfielders in that double pivot. Durkin talked about coming full circle from last season when he was recovering from an MCL injury and the team was struggling with results - and how times like that help him to savor recent successes. Durkin also talked about seeing individual and team improvements under one of the hardest working coaching staffs in the MLS who continue to demand more of the squad each day. He also talked about the importance of his partnership with Edelman, supporting Eduard Lowen higher up the field, the importance of mindset, and how his game has matured this season with clarity on what a “good game” looks like for Head Coach Yoann Damet.
