During the Y98 pregame show, Jen Siess visited with St. Louis CITY SC’s fastest player, forward Sangbin Jeong ahead of the team’s road match out to the west coast to face the the San Jose Earthquakes. “Sangy” talked about his start in The Beautiful Game at age 3, playing for his father. He also described his first experience living away from his home country of South Korea when playing in the Swiss Super League at age 19, learning about the physical intensity of play in Europe. Jeong’s idol is fellow South Korean, Son Heung-min, former Tottenham Spur player now in the MLS playing with LAFC - the best memories for Jeong are pitching up against “Sonny” and scoring goals for his national team when called up - and he hopes for more goals in the remainder of the 2026 season.
